Lot 60: A Trio of Edwardian and Late Victorian Sterling Silver Handled Button Hooks gross circa 55g

A trio of button hooks featuring embossed sterling silver handles and steel hooks. The largest item includes a flared handle decorated with a foliate and floral scrolling design. It bears several marks on the handle: a maker’s mark reading CS in a rectangular cartouche, an anchor symbol, a lion passant, and a lowercase gothic s in a shield. A second mid-sized hook features an ornate handle with darkened recesses, floral motifs, and a scrolled finial; it bears a worn lion passant and an illegible maker’s mark within a decorative band. The smallest hook is decorated in a shell and scroll pattern similar to the Kings pattern style. Its handle bears a lion passant and a lowercase gothic g in a shield. All handles are weighted sterling silver construction.
