Lot 700: Fortnum & Mason Large Woven Wicker Hamper

A large rectangular wicker hamper constructed from woven willow in a honey-toned finish. The basket features a lift-off lid secured by two brown leather straps with brass-tone metal buckles. A thick, multi-strand woven wicker rope handle is integrated into the front face. The lid is stencilled in the centre with a black-inked mark consisting of the characters F & M, identifying the piece as from the London department store Fortnum & Mason. The weave pattern is a horizontal stake-and-strand style with a reinforced braided rim.
