Lot 701: Two Wicker Picnic and Harvest Baskets

This lot comprises two woven wicker items. The first is an oval harvest or shopping basket, constructed from peeled and unpeeled willow with a high-arched overhead handle. The handle is integrated into the body with cross-wrapped willow binders at the attachment points and features a reinforced braided rim. The second item is a rectangular picnic hamper with a hinged lid. This trunk-style basket is fitted with two black synthetic straps and silver-toned buckles for closure. A central black padded handle is riveted to the front face of the body. There are no maker marks, labels, or stamps visible on either item.
