Lot 752: A Collection of Goebel West German Ceramic Figurines and Cow Themed Tableware

An assortment of hand-painted ceramic items comprising figurines and novelty tableware. The group includes two figurines depicting young boys in rustic dress, three bird models, and a cow-themed cream and sugar set. The larger figurine portrays a walking boy with a bag and umbrella, while the smaller figure depicts a boy seated in the branches of a tree. The bird studies include a black and white species on a green textured base, a Redstart with a vibrant orange breast, and a Goldcrest with a yellow and orange crown perched upon a leaf. The tableware consists of a cow-form creamer with an open mouth spout and an upright tail handle, alongside a lidded dish in the form of a reclining cow.

The underside of the lidded cow dish features a blue printed mark with a stylized V above W. Germany and incised numerals 2038. A similar blue printed V mark and W. Germany text appears on the base of the smaller boy figurine, which also bears an incised 10 3/0. The larger boy figurine base displays the same V and W. Germany printed mark. The Redstart bird base carries a blue printed Goebel W. Germany mark with a stylized V containing a bee, accompanied by a white paper label reading W. GOEBEL Gartenrotschwanz Redstart Rouge-queue. The base of the Goldcrest bird bears an impressed number that is not clearly legible.
