Lot 97: An Egyptian Silver 900 Circular Pill Box with Engraved Islamic Motifs 1942 circa 42g
An Egyptian silver circular box featuring a pull-off lid. The exterior surfaces are decorated with intricate hand-engraved scrolling foliate and stylized floral motifs in an Islamic style. The side of the box is embellished with an interlocking geometric chain border. The interior base bears three struck marks. The interior shows a matte, slightly textured surface consistent with the construction of the metal.
