Lot 102: Tony Bennett (Benedetto), Golden Pavilion, 16-Colour Lithograph 79x66cm

A 16-colour lithograph on Arches paper titled Golden Pavilion by Tony Bennett (Anthony Benedetto, 1926-2023). The abstract composition, created in 1993, features two vertical rectangular forms in yellow and orange with stippled edges set against a solid black background. This work is numbered 184 from a limited edition of 300 and was printed by Atelier Ettinger Inc., New York. The print is housed in a wide black and gilt ornate frame, notable for a large sculptural foliate and scrolled plume ornament to the left vertical edge. The lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Celebrites Gallery of Celebrity Fine Art, Lahaina, Hawaii, signed by Director Gerard Marti, alongside the original USPS-postmarked mailing envelope dated 15 September 2000.
