An Italian mid-century modern glazed earthenware vase of flared hourglass form with an oval rim and circular base. The exterior is finished in a high-gloss black glaze, decorated with hand-painted gestural abstract stripes in white, yellow, red, and light blue. These stripes feature a textured, speckled finish. The interior is glazed in a matching black. The base is finished in black glaze with hand-painted marks in gold pigment reading 7529 above a horizontal line and ITALY.
