Lot 477: Two Coalport bone china figurines from the Ladies of Fashion series, Anne and Dorothy

Two Coalport hand-decorated bone china figurines from the Ladies of Fashion series, each accompanied by its original cardboard box. The first figurine, titled Anne, is designated as the Figurine of the Year 1997. She is depicted wearing a voluminous gown transitioning from deep black at the base to a vibrant blue, with a black bodice featuring a high ruffled white collar and a single red rose at the waist. She has dark hair styled in an updo and wears a gold-tone pendant necklace. The second figurine, titled Dorothy, wears a mauve and pink sleeveless gown with a layered bodice and gold-tone button details. She wears matching long gloves and holds a small pink purse with a gold-tone floral clasp. She has blonde wavy hair and wears a black choker with a gold-tone ornament. Both figures were modelled by Jack Glynn. The bases of both figurines are marked with the Coalport crown symbol, BONE CHINA, MADE IN ENGLAND, EST. 1750, and Ladies of Fashion. The figurine Anne is further marked Figurine of the Year 1997 and contains the signature of Jack Glynn with a 1996 copyright date. The figurine Dorothy also bears the signature of Jack Glynn and a 1996 copyright date.
