A pair of earthenware storage jars with matching lids from the Cornish Kitchen Ware range by T.G. Green and Co. Ltd. The jars are of cylindrical form, decorated with horizontal blue and white bands. The central white bands are transfer-printed in black capital letters with the words Salt and Sugar. The recessed-lip lids feature concentric blue and white circles. The base of each jar bears a black printed factory mark consisting of a shield with diagonal bands containing the words Cornish Kitchen Ware, below a banner for Made in T.G. Green and Co. Ltd. England.
