Lot 50E: A Collection of UK King George V Silver Shilling and Sixpence Coins 50% Silver
A collection of fourteen United Kingdom silver coins from the reign of King George V. The group comprises twelve Shillings and two Sixpences, struck in .500 fine silver. The coins feature the George V uncrowned portrait obverse and the crowned lion atop crown reverse. The obverse legend reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX, and the reverse includes the legend FID: DEF: IND: IMP: with denominations of ONE SHILLING and SIXPENCE. Visible dates include 1921, 1922, 1924, and 1925. The coins are finished with milled edges.
