Lot 540: Three boxed Varney transport model kits

A trio of English transport model kits produced by Varney. The collection includes two green-boxed models from the Pennine Chain series and one yellow-boxed model from the Transport Replicas range. The first green box is printed with BY VARNEY ENGLAND on the lid and SOUTHAMPTON DOMED TRAMCAR No 3 on the end flap. The second green box is printed with BY VARNEY ENGLAND on the lid and LIVERPOOL GREEN GODDESS TRAMCAR No 1 on the end flap. The yellow box is printed with TRANSPORT REPLICAS BY VARNEY ENGLAND on the lid and A.E.C RENOWN LONDON TRANSPORT No 8 A on the end flap. This yellow box also bears a yellow adhesive retail label printed with MODEL RAILWAYS KINGS CROSS and marked F6 . 48P. The models are intended for the 1:76 scale hobbyist market and are traditionally constructed from white metal, housed in printed cardstock packaging.
