Lot 551: A trio of contemporary studio ceramic pebble sculptures - circa 15x15cm

A trio of contemporary studio ceramic sculptures, each hand-formed in the shape of a smooth, flattened river pebble. The pieces are finished with a variegated abstract glaze in a palette of deep violet, cobalt blue, and turquoise. The decoration consists of organic, flowing lines and cell-like mottled patterns reminiscent of microscopic structures. Each piece is solid in construction and designed to sit flat. The underside of each sculpture features a circular unglazed reserve with a small central hole measuring approximately 2mm to 3mm in diameter. The unglazed base of each piece is incised with two characters reading VV.
