Lot 561: A Collection of Allbrit and Arkon Radial Planimeters and Rabone Brass Spirit Levels

An assortment of scientific instruments and engineering tools. The collection includes two boxed radial planimeters and several brass-bodied spirit levels. One planimeter is constructed from black-finished metal with a brass arm stamped ALLBRIT. It is housed in a mahogany case with a red velvet interior. The second planimeter features a black frame marked with a stylized logo and the characters № 22525, while its brass measuring arm is stamped ARKON. This instrument is stored in a black leatherette-covered case with a purple velvet lining, which also contains a brass-mounted magnifying lens, a weighted pivot, and a small metal calibration plate. A printed paper label inside this case reads When used as Radial-Planimeter Value of Vernier Unit = 0,0004 inches. The engineering spirit levels are of brass construction. The largest level is engraved J. RABONE & SONS, BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND. Two cylindrical brass levels are stamped J. Rabone & Sons Made in England. The group also includes a rectangular block level and a cylindrical level with a green-tinted vial, both of which are without visible maker marks.
