Lot 591: A Collection of Tri-ang Hornby OO Gauge Model Railway Items Including Flying Scotsman Set and Accessories
A collection of vintage Tri-ang Hornby OO gauge electric model railway items, featuring the RS.608 Flying Scotsman Set. The set includes an LNER Class A3 4-6-2 locomotive in apple green livery, bearing the number 4472 on the cab sides and L N E R on the tender. The locomotive is accompanied by two teak-style passenger coaches lettered LNER and numbered 1870 and 1010, along with an oval of curved and straight track sections. The set is housed in a red pictorial box with a yellow plastic inner tray, which is marked Tri-ang HORNBY Model Railways and Made in Great Britain by ROVEX TRI-ANG.
Additional boxed items comprise an R.3 Town Station with platform sections and signage lettered YORK, an R.10 S.R. Open Wagon numbered 12530, an R.113 B.R. Goods Wagon, and an R.22 Mineral Wagon lettered WM. CORY. A refrigerated van in white livery with Eskimo branding and number W 59850 is contained in a Tri-ang WRENN WAGONS box.
The collection further includes loose rolling stock and scenic accessories, such as a blue INSULFISH van numbered N6301, a brown open wagon with a yellow tipping lever, and various other open and flat wagons. Scenic pieces consist of a level crossing with white gates, a grey plastic footbridge, platform ends, and parts for a lattice tower. Assorted loose track sections including a point switch are also present.
