Lot 634: A large West German Bay Keramik earthenware vase

A West German earthenware vase of tapered cylindrical form with a flared rim. The exterior is decorated with three horizontal bands of relief-moulded patterns under a glossy two-tone glaze. The upper neck and lower base are finished in a dark chocolate brown glaze, with the base section featuring concentric horizontal ridges. The central band is finished in an emerald green glaze over a relief-moulded pattern of raised circular dots and vertical ridges. The underside of the base bears the impressed mark BAY W.-GERMANY and the model numbers 76 40.
