Lot 691: A Moorland earthenware conical teapot in the 'N' Lightning pattern by Anita Tinley

A Moorland earthenware teapot of conical form, tapering to a square stepped base, featuring a short triangular spout and a simple curved handle. The wide flat rim supports a circular lid surmounted by a rectangular red finial. The exterior is hand-painted in the ‘N’ Lightning pattern, displaying a vibrant abstract geometric arrangement of triangles, circles, and blocks in red, yellow, orange, blue, green, and purple, bounded by bold black outlines. The rim and lid are finished with concentric bands of yellow, red, and black. The underside is printed in blue with a series of marks including Moorland, a copyright symbol and 96, STAFFORDSHIRE, and CHELSEA WORKS BURSLEM ENGLAND, along with the pattern title ‘N’ Lightning. The base also carries a hand-painted signature for the artist Anita Tinley.
