Lot 746: Ben Bracken 28-Year-Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
A bottle of single malt Scotch whisky produced for the Clydesdale Scotch Whisky Co. and distilled in 1987. The bottle features a printed cream-coloured main label reading BEN BRACKEN above SPEYSIDE SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY and includes a printed signature for Ben Bracken. The label further states the spirit was aged in oak casks and distilled in copper pot stills for twenty-eight years. The lower section of the label confirms the volume as 70cl and the alcohol content as Alc 40% vol. A laser etching on the glass near the base reads L43153 01:36. The rear label includes UK government health warnings and a units of alcohol guide. A pink adhesive UK duty stamp is affixed to the rear, reading FOR THE UK MARKET A50000000107 HM Revenue & Customs. The bottle is sealed with a black foil capsule featuring a white printed top with the brand name surrounding the number 28. It is presented in its original deep-red hinged card box with a black flocked interior. The inside of the lid contains a printed vintage-style map of Scotland and a crest describing the whisky as having notes of grape, coriander, and pineapple.
