Lot 177: German Third Reich WHW Ein Volk hilft sich selbst Plastic Donation Badge

A molded plastic donation badge produced for the Winterhilfswerk (Winter Relief Fund) during the German Third Reich period. The badge is designed as a heater-shaped shield with a red ground and raised white elements. The top of the badge features the initials WHW in block serif lettering. Below this, a scroll carries the red-painted inscription Ein Volk hilft sich selbst!. The central device of the shield depicts a stylised eagle. On the reverse, a circular plastic boss is fitted with a simple metal pin and C-clasp assembly. The boss features four small raised circular dots in a square formation.
