A large nineteenth-century hand-blown glass apothecary carboy or shop display jar. The vessel is constructed from clear glass with a faint smoky grey tint, featuring a wide pear-shaped body that tapers into a long neck with a flared and ground rim. The base exhibits a rough, central snapped-off pontil mark. The carboy is paired with a large matching glass stopper designed to sit deep within the neck, featuring a faceted lower section and a tall diamond-cut pointed finial. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the base or body of the piece.
