A pair of cast stone garden statues modelled as recumbent lions. The figures are presented in a naturalistic style, with one depicted awake with open eyes and the other shown sleeping with its head resting upon its paws. Each lion features a heavily textured mane and is positioned on an integral rectangular plinth base. The material is a reconstituted stone with a coarse grain. There are no maker marks, signatures, or country-of-origin labels visible on the exterior or the unfinished undersides of the bases.
