Lot 259: An Assortment of Antique and Vintage Apothecary Glassware

An assortment of antique and vintage apothecary and laboratory glassware, comprising several bottles and two bell jars. The collection includes a large clear glass jar with a heavy faceted stopper; a tall cylindrical bottle with a similar faceted stopper bearing a label for Extractum Glycyrrhizae Liquidum B.P. (Liquid Extract of Liquorice); a smaller bottle with a rectangular stopper and a label for Acid. Acet. Glac. B.P. (Glacial Acetic Acid) from Wilkinson & Simpson Ltd., Manufacturing Chemists, Newcastle Upon Tyne, with a handwritten batch date of 4 Feb 1955; and a bottle with an internal pouring lip labeled for Glycerine of Phenol from George Safe, M.P.S. Chemist, North Shields. Also included are two clear glass bell jars, one with a stepped circular pedestal base and the other with a separate ground glass base.
