Lot 274: A set of antique glass apothecary jars with ground glass stoppers

A set of antique clear glass apothecary or chemist jars, each retaining a ground glass stopper. The set consists of a large cylindrical jar and several smaller rectangular-section jars. The large jar features a flat-topped circular stopper, while the smaller jars have faceted rectangular-topped stoppers. Each jar is fitted with an aged paper adhesive label featuring black printed text within decorative borders. The label on the large jar reads AC: BORIC. The labels on the smaller jars read MIST. BISM. c PEPSIN with a macron over the letter c, VALER, and LIQ. HAMAMEL.
