Lot 286: Seven English Salt-Glazed Stoneware Storage Jars and Lids

A set of seven salt-glazed stoneware storage jars of varying heights and widths, each with a corresponding lid. The jars are of cylindrical form, featuring a traditional two-tone glaze with an iron-brown upper section and a buff-coloured lower body. Each jar is decorated with a raised beaded band at the shoulder. The lids are flat with central circular knobs, one lid featuring additional concentric ring decoration. On the shoulder of the tallest narrow jar, the uppercase letters PT are incised into the clay beneath the glaze. No other legible marks, names, or stamps are visible on the exterior of the pieces.
