Lot 289: A set of eight graduated aqua glass apothecary bottles

A graduated set of eight pale aqua-green glass apothecary or chemist bottles. Each vessel is of rectangular form with rounded shoulders, tapering to a short neck fitted with a ground-glass stopper. The bottles range in size from a large storage vessel down to a small vial. The base of the largest bottle features an impressed 0 and 4. Other marks are present to the bases but are not clearly legible as names or specific makers. Several bottles retain fragments of original brown twine secured around the neck.
