Lot 298: A set of four antique clear glass apothecary bottles with acid-etched labels

A set of four clear glass apothecary shop rounds of graduated sizes, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Each bottle features a rectangular section body with a ground-glass neck and a matching flat-topped rectangular glass stopper. The pharmaceutical contents are identified by acid-etched labelling in black uppercase sans-serif lettering. The individual labels are transcribed as LIQ. QUIN. AMMON., ZINCI SULPH., TR. CINCHON., and SULPH. PRAEC.. These abbreviations correspond to Liquor Quinine Ammoniata, Zinci Sulphas, Tinctura Cinchonae, and Sulphur Praecipitatum respectively. There are no maker’s marks or stamps visible on the glass.
