Lot 303: A set of clear glass apothecary bottles with ground glass stoppers

A set of clear glass apothecary bottles of rectangular form with chamfered corners. The collection includes larger bottles with rounded circular-top ground glass stoppers and smaller bottles with faceted rectangular-top ground glass stoppers. Each bottle features a fired-on black enamel label in abbreviated Latin script. These labels are transcribed as CALC. LACT. for Calcium Lactate, TR. CARD. AROM. for Tinctura Cardamomi Aromatica, LIQ. IODI AQ. for Liquor Iodi Aquosus, and SOD. PHOS. AC. for Sodii Phosphas Acidus. The glass is clear but shows internal cloudiness and residue from previous pharmaceutical storage. There are no maker’s marks, signatures, or etched manufacturer labels visible on any of the vessels.
