Lot 306: Two Large Glass Apothecary Carboys with Stoppers 46 & 37cm

This lot consists of two large antique apothecary or chemist carboys. The first is a tall cylindrical vessel in aqua glass with rounded shoulders and a wide mouth featuring a thick, applied blob rim. The glass contains numerous small seeds or air bubbles throughout. It is fitted with an original multi-faceted tapering glass stopper. The second is a clear glass cylindrical carboy of slightly shorter stature, featuring a shorter neck and a flat flared rim. The body of the clear glass is etched with horizontal graduation marks on one side. This piece is fitted with its likely original thick clear glass stopper with a rectangular flat-top handle. There are no maker marks or labels visible on either piece.
