A collection of vintage brass scale weights comprising two distinct groups. The first group consists of six knobbed cylindrical apothecary weights manufactured by W & T Avery Ltd. Each weight features a flat top stamped with the maker name and specific measurements. The denominations include an impressed mark reading AVERY 10 OZ APOTH, a second reading APOTH 8 OZ AVERY, a third reading APOTH 6 OZ AVERY, a fourth reading APOTH 4 OZ AVERY, a fifth reading AVERY 2 OZ APOTH, and a sixth reading AVERY 1 OZ APOTH. The second group is a set of five metric brass weights housed within a rectangular dark wood block, likely mahogany, featuring five circular recessed wells. The largest weight in this group bears an impressed mark on the top reading 500 G.
