Lot 517: A Collection of Yamaha FS1-E Moped Parts and Original Documentation

A collection of vintage mechanical components and original papers for a Yamaha FS1-E moped. The assembly includes a single-cylinder, two-stroke air-cooled engine with the casing relief-moulded with the maker’s name YAMAHA. Accompanying the engine is a complete chrome-finished exhaust system comprising a header pipe and silencer. The lot includes a single spoked wheel fitted with a Continental tyre, two amber indicator lenses on stalks, and two rear-view mirrors with stems.

The documentation consists of:
An original UK Vehicle Registration Document (V5) for registration GEB 61N, identifying the vehicle as a purple Yamaha two-wheel moped with chassis/frame number 22170 and engine number 22170, dated 09 10 74.
A Department of Transport Test Certificate (MOT) dated 10th January 1980 for registration GEB 61N, recording a mileage of 1,906.
An original printed Yamaha FS1-E Owner’s Manual with a three-colour yellow, orange, and black cover, bearing part number 394-28199-20.
A second edition technical book titled Motorcycle Tuning: Two-Stroke by John Robinson.
