Lot 642: A Group of Beswick, Goebel, and Italian Decorative Ceramics and Wall Masks

An assortment of decorative ceramic and fabric items featuring various European origins. The collection includes a Venetian wall mask with a cream-coloured face and hand-painted details, accented by a fabric jester-style headpiece in red and gold brocade with brass bells. The reverse of the mask features a black circular printed mark reading ORIGINAL HAND PAINTED MADE IN ITALY VENEZIA and a matching adhesive sticker. A group of wall-mounted character bosses includes a foliate Green Man face rendered in textured brown oak leaves, a man in a green hat with MADE IN ENGLAND incised on the reverse, and a man in a blue cap with a cigar. Ceramic figurines include a Siamese cat in a reclined pose, bearing a circular black printed mark for BESWICK ENGLAND and the incised number 1558 on the base. Two bird figurines are present, one featuring a blue printed mark for Goebel W. Germany accompanied by a V and bee symbol.
