Lot 665: A Hand Knotted Wool Rug with Floral Medallion Design 3ft 2" x 2ft 1"

A hand-knotted wool rug featuring a traditional Persian-style design. The central field is dominated by a multi-lobed diamond medallion in olive-brown, pink, and white tones, set against a vibrant red ground. The surrounding field is populated with repeating stylized floral sprays and vine work executed in black, blue, pink, and ochre. The composition is enclosed within a wide black main border decorated with floral rosettes and winding vines, flanked by multiple guard borders with zig-zag and floral motifs. One end of the rug displays a white cotton fringe, while the opposite end is bound. The reverse features a white fabric adhesive label with blue printed text reading ORIGINAL HANDMADE, CARPET, GHOZAN, 95X65, and 0001055, alongside several barcodes and a smaller printed 62.
