Lot 673: Late Victorian octagonal occasional table

A late Victorian octagonal occasional table constructed from dark-stained wood, possibly mahogany or walnut. The eight-sided top features a bevelled edge and is supported by four main turned legs with block sections and ball feet. The structure is further reinforced by four smaller turned spindles and an H-frame stretcher system. A square lower tier is integrated into the central section, enclosed by a decorative fretwork gallery featuring a repeat pattern of vertical slats and circular cutouts. The underside of the table reveals a cross-braced frame construction supporting the top. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the surfaces shown.
