Lot 681: An antique hand hammered copper cauldron with hand forged iron swing handle

An antique copper cooking pot featuring a hand-hammered, rounded body with a flared rim. The vessel is constructed with visible dovetail seams at the base and side. It is fitted with a thick, hand-forged iron swing handle terminating in scrolled ends, which are attached to scrolled iron ears riveted to the body. The interior is finished with a worn tin lining. The exterior displays a varied patina with oxidation, including iridescent purple and blue heat-tinting and green verdigris spots to the base. There are no maker’s marks, signatures, or hallmarks visible on the base or body.
