Lot 195: Cast Iron Polychrome Painted Rooster Doorstop
A single-sided, hollow-cast iron rooster doorstop featuring a polychrome painted finish. The figure is modeled in profile, standing upon a textured semi-circular base finished in green to simulate grass. The rooster is decorated with gold, blue, and brown tones to the body feathers, accented by a red comb and wattle. The reverse is unpainted and hollowed, revealing the cast metal surface. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are present on the base or the interior of the casting.
