Lot 381: An amethyst glass three-ring Sheringham candlestick

A mid-century modern amethyst art glass candlestick. The piece features a cylindrical cup-shaped candle holder set upon a stem composed of three stacked disc-like knops. The stem terminates in a wide, flat circular foot. The glass is a deep royal purple colour, which appears nearly opaque black in the thicker sections of the knops and stem. The underside of the base features a smooth, slightly concave polished pontil mark. There are no visible maker’s marks, signatures, or adhesive labels present on the item.
