Lot 400: Hand-carved open twist hardwood floor lamp

A hand-carved hardwood floor lamp featuring a double-section open twist or spiral column. The dark-stained wood stem is divided by a central ribbed knop, with a matching ribbed section at the top below the bulb holder. The piece stands on a circular stepped and turned wooden base. An internal metal rod runs through the centre of the open-work carving to provide structural support. The lamp is fitted with a white plastic bayonet (B22) bulb holder and a twin-core gold-coloured electrical flex. There are no visible maker marks, signatures, or country of origin labels on the piece.
