Lot 405: A Vintage Wingback Armchair in Cognac Leather

A vintage wingback armchair of traditional Georgian revival form, upholstered in deep cognac-coloured leather with a heavily patinated and distressed finish. The high back features characteristic flanking wings and leads down to scrolled armrests. The chair is finished with brass-tacked nailhead trim following the contours of the arms, front rail, and the perimeter of the back panel. It is supported by four square-section tapered wooden legs. The removable seat cushion is upholstered in matching leather on the upper surface and front face, with a dark brown fabric vent on the underside and rear. The seat base beneath the cushion is finished in a coordinating brown fabric. No maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior, legs, or internal seat base.
