Lot 594: A Pair of Framed Maritime Photographic Prints Featuring a Penzance Harbour Scene

A pair of monochrome photographic prints with a matte finish, likely photogravure or carbon prints. One print depicts a young boy in a wide-brimmed hat seated upon seaweed-clad rocks, manipulating a line attached to a small model sailing boat. The second print shows a busy harbour scene featuring a large two-masted vessel with sails partially furled, alongside smaller fishing craft and a rowing boat in the foreground. One fishing boat in the harbour scene displays a printed registration mark on the bow reading 195 PZ, indicating a Penzance port of origin. Both images are housed in matching dark-stained wooden frames with a slender gilt inner slip. No signatures, maker marks, or edition numbers are visible on the front of either print.
