A varied assortment of metal decorative and table wares. The collection features a large cast metal footed centerpiece with a removable pierced lid, likely bronze or dark-patinated white metal. The centerpiece is cast with high-relief neoclassical and rococo-style decoration, including floral swags and gadrooning, supported by three scrolled legs terminating in masks on a circular pedestal base. The interior of the bowl and the underside of the lid feature circular perforations.
Included is a stylized animal figurine in the form of a horse, cast in bronze or brass with incised geometric patterns including Greek key and circular motifs.
Silver-plated items include a pair of scallop shell-form dishes, each resting on small ball feet with cast foliate handles. A small circular tasting bowl with a flat thumb-grip handle features an impressed mark to the interior base reading L’ECU DE FRANCE LONDON, relating to the historic London restaurant. A lobed circular bowl is stamped to the underside with an oval mark for THE ALEX CLARK MANUFACTURING CO. LONDON.
