Lot 627: Large Italian Hand Blown Orange and White Stripe Art Glass Pillar Vase 49cm

A large hand-blown art glass vase of tapered cylindrical pillar form. The body is crafted from vibrant transparent orange glass featuring opaque white lattimo spiral bands that encircle the exterior. Subtle vertical optic ribbing is visible within the interior of the glass wall through the transparent orange sections. The piece tapers slightly towards a narrow mouth and a circular base. The underside of the base features a large, central rough-snapped pontil mark within the white glass section, indicative of traditional hand-blown manufacturing techniques. No maker’s marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are visible on the body or the base.
