Lot 628: Whitefriars pewter bark glass vase by Geoffrey Baxter 23cm

A Whitefriars textured glass vase in the pewter colourway. This piece features a heavy, cylindrical form with a distinctive deep-relief bark texture to the exterior, designed by Geoffrey Baxter for the Textured range introduced in 1967. The vessel is mold-blown with an irregular, undulating rim and a smooth interior. The glass displays a smoked grey tint, transitioning to a deeper tone at the thick, solid base. The underside of the base features a polished, ground-flat circular area. No signatures, maker’s marks, or etched characters are visible on the base or sides.
