Lot 715: An Assortment of Decorative Pillar, Taper, and Novelty Candles with Mixed Candle Holders

A collection of unused decorative candles and a variety of associated holders in metal, ceramic, and glass. The candle selection includes three pillar candles: one large orange ribbed pillar, one large off-white smooth pillar, and one medium off-white smooth pillar. Taper and dinner candles comprise a box of ten off-white Nutmeg HOME unscented dinner candles in a plastic-wrapped tray, a box of twelve cream-coloured INTERIOR taper candles bearing a white adhesive label printed NOW 1.95, a wooden tray containing four beeswax-style rolled honeycomb tapers tied with twine, and two large green conical tapers. Novelty wax items include one tall black obelisk-style candle and a set of three medium conical candles in dark red and olive green.

The accompanying holders feature a large turned wooden pillar stand and several metal chambersticks, including a silver-tone example with a scrolled handle and a copper-plated rectangular version with a beaded rim. Ceramic and glass pieces include a turquoise glass candlestick with a twisted stem, a white glazed ceramic holder with pierced lattice decoration, and a rustic stoneware chamberstick featuring applied ceramic butterflies and flowers. Two square ceramic tea light holders are decorated with transfer-print designs of a stylized red bird and floral motifs. Further items include a small glass and metal holder with a crescent moon and star motif, a miniature unglazed terracotta teapot, and a blue-glazed decorative ceramic base. A small grey stoneware jar is decorated with a blue printed logo reading ABB above text reading Aechter Bergrath-Mostert DÜSSELDORF.
